Your Lords Message For Today

Always plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.

Always plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.

"Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

A Christian who has a strong faith in Jesus will prepare himself before going into the battle, not because he doesn't trust His protection, but because he believes He wants him to survive. Being a firm believer of Jesus should not be a reason for you to get life insurance that can eventually save you and your family's lives. Jesus will guide and keep you safe from harm, but as His follower, you need to be able to stand with your own feet and follow His divine will.

Life is a wonderful mixture of both bad times and good times. You will have a lot of challenges to face, but with Jesus, you will not walk alone through it. He has given you riches here on earth, but it's your job to nurture and multiply it for your family.

Jesus Wants You to Prepare for the Future

As stated in Proverbs 27:23-24 ESV, "Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds, for riches do not last forever; and does a crown endure to all generations?"

Jesus wants you to equip yourself because you cannot know how long today's blessings will last. You must always see to it that your current situation will not go down, because at the end of the day, you can only count on yourself to fight your own battles. If you are in a good condition, you will also be capable of helping and lifting your family from hard times. Do not be too confident if life gives you too much riches, because Jesus can take that away anytime if used in bad things.

Being stable is even more important if you have children to support. Jesus wants you to give your  attention to their needs and provide what's good for them. As a Christian, family should always come first over your personal desires. Your parents are also your greatest gift from heaven, and it's only right to care and respect them in return. Be ready to conquer different trials in life while bringing your loved ones with you all the time. Do all things in the name of Jesus, without neglecting the people who are a huge part of your becoming.

Treat Your Insurance As A Gift

Proper use of insurance can save you from future difficulties such as property problems, health issues, and other monetary related ones. Jesus knew beforehand you're going to face a fluctuation of several obstacles that will test your strength, courage, and faith. Christians are a firm believer that whatever someone asks from above, it will always be provided. That is God's ultimate promise to you, but do not forget that He also wants you to be a good provider. You are made in His own image and likeness, and everything you do must be in accordance to His will.

Jesus blessed you with a wonderful family, a comfortable shelter, and beneficial assets. It is righteous to take care of the blessings He has given you, especially if those things can help you and your loved ones in the future. Jesus loves to see you bring good food on the table that can feed the mouths of the hungry. Treat your insurance as a gift from Him that allows you to grow and be more mature without losing your faith in His power.

Draw a Line Between Faith and Dependency on Jesus

Purchasing insurance isn't connected to your lack of faith in Jesus. It is simply a smart step of planning for your future and preventing major problems to arise that could potentially harm your loved ones. Insurance must not remove or lessen your faith in Him, knowing you're already secured in life. You will always need Jesus in your journey because He lives in your heart and soul. He wouldn't want to let you and your loved ones suffer because you are His children. Hence, He wants you to do the same to your family and never let them experience the tortures of the world.

Your insurance is your second savior in life. As a faithful Christian devotee, your actions must be towards the good and the right. If you refuse to provide for your family, then it's like disobeying what Jesus has told you to do. In that case, are you truly a believer? Buy insurance at the thought of making your loved one's life comfortable, not out of fear or lack of faith.

Today Tip of the Day

If you were to leave the earth one day, make sure you have left something for your family and your children. It is wise to do so and will make their memory of you more meaningful. Your faith in Jesus and your personal perseverance will save both your body and soul. Do not solely depend on the Higher Being above, because in life, you also need to make your own choices and grow from it. If you ask and it was not granted, learn to be patient as He might just be preparing you for His best gift or teaching you another way of how to get it yourself. Nevertheless, Jesus loves you and He supports the choices that's righteous and just.
