Everything that happens in your life, be it good or bad, is a result of your own choices and decisions. You cannot put the blame on someone else, especially to God, whenever things start to fall down. Christians believe that those who have been lost can be found again, and those who have been sinned can be forgiven again.

Rehabilitation is a healthy way of regaining back your soul who wandered away from righteousness. You cannot always do things right, but you can always have a choice of hindering yourself from getting harmed by addictive substances and immoral indulgences. 

God wants you to always choose to follow the light that leads you to a cleaner and healthier living. Going through a rehab is giving yourself a chance to serve God again, but this time, you are going to do it right. 

Do Things that Finds Favor with God

1 Peter 2:20 proclaims, "For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God."  

Sometimes, going through the dark phase of life can leave a raging emotion in your heart, causing it to numb and feel cold. People around you are affected, and the effect is slowly removing your true identity. Rehabilitation may be a long process and form of healing, but it is the right thing you should do to recover from what's troubling your mind, your body, and your soul. Be patient enough to undergo the procedure, especially if it is for your own good. Doing the right thing is way better than not just plain regrets. God will be in favor with those who try their best to renew their hearts regardless of the longevity of time and sacrifices that need to be made. 

Slowly Cleanse Your Spiritual Facet 

Return yourself back to the Lord like a lost child that's now found. He is the only way for you to heal and through Him, you will be saved from despair. 2 Timothy 2:22 says, "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. " 

As a Christian, you must be willing to give up the things that only satisfy yourself and not the Lord. Replace your bad deeds with righteousness, so you can understand God's commands better and live accordingly. Allow yourself to be saved by God from the snare of the devil. Do not allow yourself to be held captive by wickedness, immorality, and addiction. These steps may sound hard to do, but God doesn’t require your immediate response. Great things must be achieved gradually. Things will test your patience and willingness to improve, and that’s the chance for you to make Jesus proud in spite of any trouble. 

Heal Through God's Holy Presence 

The reason behind every rehab is to renew and redeem yourself back from the dungeon of hopelessness. To realize that God is here for you no matter what and is willing to forgive your trespasses, as long as you give your full trust in His power. As what He promised in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Be willing to leave your bad habits behind and focus on a brighter future. Sometimes in life, you need to sacrifice something in order to achieve something better. If you are uncertain about what to compromise, seek His guiding light to enlighten your mind with the best course of action to take.

You don’t have to worry about your past if your present and future is focused on being with Christ again. He will not judge you for your previous mistakes, but would rather associate you back to your route which will allow you to serve Him once more. He will remove the hardness from your heart and replace it with a clearer mind and a softer heart.

You cannot escape the tremendous barriers of life that have the power to halt your progress and dim your light. You can be bruised many times, fall down over again, and lose sight of hope, but don't give up in life and believe that you can be saved from the dark situation you are in through God's mercy and forgiveness. Grab any opportunity that contributes to your healing, because that’s the only way for you to serve God better. If you are already on your way there, do not ever look back and embrace the upcoming blessings in your life—this time, you are already walking with God.
