Your Lords Message For Today

God engraved your name in His palms

God engraved your name in His palms

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Isaiah 49:16, KJV

The palms of God are the safest place to be? What does God mean when he says He has inscribed you on the palms of His hands? Another translation of this verse says See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands. The message of this verse is that God is giving us insurance that he will take care of us. For example, imagine you are in the desert, and you only have a few drops of water on the palms of your hands. That water is in everything you have, so it is very important to you. Your feelings about those few drops are just like God’s feelings towards you. He gave you His promise and insurance, you will always be on the palms, and He will always keep an eye on you. How great is that? All mighty, all-powerful God is watching over you!

Also, He says I have graven or engrave you, gave you promise and insurance, and that means permanently! He treasures us but not for who we are yet for who He is. Unlike the treasures of this world who can be lost most of the time, the treasures of Heaven are forever. God is using the palms analogy to help us understand how important we are to Him. When we treasure something, we like to keep it in our hands. That way, it will be safe; we can look at it, hold it. It is the same as our God. The King of kings, Lord of Lord, is looking at you, keeping you safe, giving you security and insurance as His treasure. Enjoy that wonderful truth! Appreciate everything He is doing for you, and spend extra time today with Him. Take the time to pray and thank the Lord for all your beloved ones because he has them on His hands too. Spread the wonderful God’s promise and make someone happy. Bless God!

God is always present

Sometimes you may feel that God is not near, that He is far away. The Word of God is giving us insurance that God is always present, and it is very important. The prophet Isaiah complained to the Lord, telling Him that people said, in the verse before, The Lord has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me. The Lord is telling to prophet Isaiah, I will not forget you. Look, your picture is on my palms. Parents are not the only ones carrying pictures of their children. God carries his children wherever He goes. Next time you have a feeling God is not near, remember that God has your image, your name, and you on his palms.

The love of the Lord

People say that the love of the mother is the highest. The love of the Lord is greater than the love of the mother. My mother carried me in her womb and brought me into the world by God's organization, then she began to breastfeed me, caress me, carry me in her arms; and when I began to walk, she stopped carrying me in her arms, and even earlier she stopped breastfeeding me. And the Lord always, so to speak, carries me in His palms. ( See John 6:56) He constantly gives me insurance, feeds me, keeps me safe.

Parents, when we grow up, leave us, as we leave them because it is said: a man will leave his father and mother, and will cling to his wife - Mt. 19, 5 - (either literally, or in a figurative sense - to Christ, Who is the highest and holiest love, greater than the love of a woman who loves). However, the Lord does not leave us for a single moment from the beginning of our existence until our death. This is the meaning of your walls are just in front of Me, thinking about us every hour, like a hen about her chickens. The Word of God is giving us insurance that He is the hope in our death, He is the life after our death, He is our consolation in His judgment, He will not shame us even then, and He will lead us into the eternal dwellings of the Kingdom of Heaven.

How much does God care about us?

The Jews refer to the ruined walls of Jerusalem while they are exile in Babylon. God shouts, "I know your life. I know exactly what's going on in your life. I will never forget you." If you want the right insurance of God's love for you, then look at Jesus' hands. If you believe in the death at the cross, then that is enough insurance of God's love and care your you. In Isaiah 53: 5, the Word says: He is punished - for the sake of our peace, his wounds are healed. If you ever ask if God loves you, consider the pierced hands of Jesus, consider His substitute death on the cross.

Speaking of His care for us, God uses the image of breastfeeding. He asks, "Can a woman forget her baby?" The immediate answer someone will give is, "No, a mother will not forget her baby!" The bond between the infant and his mother is very strong. Physically and emotionally, the mother will be attached to her nursing baby. God emphasizes that even if a mother forgets her infant — which is a very rare case — He will not forget our people. God is absolutely equal to His children and will never forget any of them. The Word of God is giving us insurance that God is perfect love!
