Your Lords Message For Today

The only way you will ever permanently take control of your financial life is to dig deep and fix the root problem.

The only way you will ever permanently take control of your financial life is to dig deep and fix the root problem.

When it comes to sustainability, one important thing to consider is your finances. Not everyone can have the privilege and convenience in life, hence, most people resort to loans as a way of coping for their expenses.

For Christians, it is not a bad thing to borrow money from someone, provided you are responsible for returning it on time. Being able to help others who are in need is a righteous act that pleases the Lord. Furthermore, if you have given a loan to provide for your loved one's needs, then you are also being faithful to the command of Jesus.

Having loans evoke different responsibilities that a borrower needs to fulfill. As long as you are wise enough to use the money for a good cause, then there is nothing wrong about spending what you have lent. At the end of the day, loans are meant to help you cope with your sustenance and life necessities.

Your Loans Must Care for Your Family

Loans must not be centered on your selfish desires and iniquitous conducts. It should entail caring for your family and loved ones and securing them financially. Proverbs 27:23-24 states, “Be you diligent to know the state of your flocks, and look well to your herds. For riches are not forever: and does the crown endure to every generation?” Learn to evaluate and consider your family in every decision you are going to make, especially if it involves their welfare. See to it that your plans are aligned to a brighter future ahead of you, and not just an additional baggage when hard times occur.

Do not depend on your finances on an ambition that’s rooted in pressure and impulse. Your possible loans can either help you today but burden you tomorrow, hence, it is essential to think about it carefully. Whatever your decision will be, seal it with an assurance that your family will remain to be taken care of no matter what happens.

Be Responsible in Managing Finances

Certainly, there will be instances where an unexpected thing or situation can happen, and you need to take action by resorting to a possible form of debt. Whatever it is that you have borrowed must be returned, and that is a call for you to be wise when it comes to handling your money. Psalm 37:21 says, “The wicked borrow but do not pay back.” Make sure to repay your debts for it is part of your moral obligation to repay your creditors. As a faithful Christian follower, it is a good practice of taking responsibility for something that requires your labor and accountability.

Before you put yourself in a situation of being a debtor, make sure you have thought about future possibilities of unwanted disasters and misfortunes. If a certain mishap happens to you, will you still be able to provide for your family and repay your debts on time? If your answer is no, then take time to rethink about getting loans before you jump into conclusions. If your answer is yes, see to it that you are not putting anyone’s wellbeing in jeopardy, and you are capable of handling emergencies whenever it occurs.

Always Seek God’s Approval

God answers all questions raised on Him if you are keen enough to wait and hear His message for you. One thing you must not forget before doing something is to seek His approval. If you are in doubt, go after His clarification before anything else. You may be put in a situation where you are torn between allowing yourself to acquire a debt for providence, but sometimes, God is just testing your patience but will surely provide for your needs. Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

As long as you have been doing your best to care for your loved ones with perseverance and integrity, your inadequateness will be fulfilled by God. Make it a Christian habit to pray and seek God’s approval first before doing things. Rushing into something without His guidance is not a smart act to do and can be interpreted as a denial of your faith to God’s ability to provide.

Today Tip of the Day

It is not a sin to do certain alternatives that are not planned ahead of time. Life is full of possibilities and unpredictable moments that can leave you on the hop. That is why God’s presence matters the most in times like this. He is the only one who can give you answers from all the uncertainties of life. Call unto Him for guidance in your every decision, in order to mitigate the probable occurrence of despair, disappointments, and frustrations.
